And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?
Jesus asks three questions in Luke 18: 7-8, the first question says: And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? To this question, we must first realize that we have been chosen by God from the womb of our mother, we are already included in that list because our names are written in the Book of Life.
Now, do we cry out to God day and night? If the answer is yes, the Lord answers in verse 8 that God will soon make us justice. Therefore, our constant prayer, our cry will come to the ears of God who has all the willingness to respond to our favor. The second question asks: will he delay long over them? We have explained above that Jesus responded to this question by saying that God will soon bring about justice.
The third question asks: will he find faith on earth? It is not that we have not been heard by God, is not that God does not hear our cry, is not that God is slow to respond to us, it is simply that when the answer comes from God, our faith is gone.
Remember that faith is for God as gasoline for a car. Our faith is what makes move God on our behalf. We can spend 24 hours a day crying to God for our needs; but if we don’t believe He will be able to answer us, nothing will happen. Without faith it is impossible to please God, without faith it is impossible to make things happen, we must believe to see because we walk by faith and not by sight. We must never lose heart in prayer, but more important than that is not lose faith.
If you are now going through a difficult situation, do not get tired of crying out to God for His righteousness. You can be sure and certain that God’s answer will arrive on time. Do not despair or allow doubt make you flinch. If you already gave the leap of faith to accept the gift of salvation, you are a son or daughter of God. So your name is written in the Book of Life and you are among the elect. And if you’re among the chosen, your Heavenly Father will do you justice soon.
When God says is soon, it will be soon; but His times are not ours. For God one day can be a thousand years and a thousand years may be one day. If the human accounting period is long when you expect the promise of God, instead of complaining about the delay, analyze the size of your faith. The only thing that can stop or postpone the fulfillment of God’s promises is our lack of faith. So accompanies every prayer, every cry to the Father with your faith and He will answer you. God bless you.
