Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to the confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.
One must understand who Jesus is to realize what He can do for those who trust in Him. Jesus is the Son of God, the radiance of God’s glory and the express image of His person. Jesus has always been part of the deity and there are too much biblical evidences both in the New and the Old Testament. If we accept and believe in the divinity of Jesus, then we know that He, as God is capable of anything.
John tells us in chapter 1, verse 3 of his Gospel: All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. All 4 gospels outlined all the power and authority of Jesus and, through them; we know that nothing is impossible for Him. However, the divinity of Jesus recognized by Thomas (John 20:28) shows us that there is a huge distance and difference between Him and us. That could make us believe that Jesus is not interested in helping us to solve our daily problems. However, despite His divinity, Jesus shared our humanity suffering each of the situations that can confront humans, death and temptation of sin.
Thus, Jesus lived by Himself every detail of human life with the great difference that passed all tests and overcame all, including death and sin. Therefore, Jesus is in the condition to clearly understand all our situations because he had experience as man and has the ability to help us overcome all that He did as man and also because He has all the power as God. But more important than that is knowing that the desire of Jesus, His greatest wish is to intercede for us before the Father as our High Priest.
Let us therefore to Jesus to fully trust Him so that the grace, mercy, love and forgiveness of God are given to us. No matter how desperate your situation is, whether you feel backs to the wall at a dead end, Jesus always arrive in time for your support, His help will always be appropriate.
Today is a good day for you zoom to Jesus and surrender your life to Him. The Lord is waiting for you. Do not think that He is asking you too much. Remember that as He offered His life for you on the cross. So Jesus does not ask for more than what He has already done for you. Surrender your burdens, your fears, your anxieties on him. Rest in His arms of love and declare Him the Lord of your life. Get Him to guide your steps and rely entirely on who has loved you with an everlasting love. God bless you.
