Therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way that He has opened for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, and since we have a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
The blood of Jesus Christ gave us the freedom to go boldly into the presence of God. Jesus not only came to give us a chance to be saved and obtain eternal life, but restored once and forever the relationship between humanity and its Creator. Jesus Christ is the way, the only path that leads to the very presence of the living God; He is the bridge that united humanity and divinity.
The blood of Jesus Christ also frees us from our empty way of life, as says 1 Peter 1:18-19: For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. Surely without Christ our life has no meaning because we are driven by the vanity of the world. Only by His precious blood shed on the cross of Calvary we are free to stop living a crazy life and enter into a new spiritual dimension living for Him.
The blood of Jesus Christ gave us freedom from dead works, as Hebrews 9:14 tells us: how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and shed His blessed blood, we left to be tied to seek salvation by works useless. We are not saved by the good we can do, as our own sinful nature contaminates with evil any good work. The grace obtained through Jesus allows us to save us. His is all the credit, our only contribution to our salvation is repentance of our sins.
Finally, the blood of Jesus Christ frees us from sin. It says 1 John 1:7: but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. The Apostle John overviews what the other John, the Baptist said about Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Only Jesus, through the shedding of His blood, is able to take away sin. There is no other way to achieve your sins and mine are deleted and cast into the seabed.
Today you read or hear this message you have in your hands the opportunity to find freedom to approach God boldly; freedom to stop living in vain; freedom not to have on your conscience from dead works and freedom from sin. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ and allow His precious blood gives you freedom; but more than that, you will have eternal life. God bless you.
