Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7
The problems and stumbling of life are inevitable. It is impossible for everyday only good things happen to us. We will have difficult times and situations that escape from our hands. For many people, the problems become a source of anxiety and worry. But for those who trust God, these bitter moments should serve to check the fidelity of our Heavenly Father.
The Scriptures give us examples of how men and women of God faced adversity. In the Old Testament we see David went through hard trials and in the midst of them all, he wrote the most beautiful psalms of praise to the Supreme Creator. For the New Testament we know the many tortures Paul suffered and the way he was firm in faith, believing in the God who called him and commissioned him to preach the gospel to the Gentiles.
When edifying examples of the Bible are indicated, some might say that biblical Titans were special beings. They might also say that in these times is not possible to find that kind of experience. As God is the same today as yesterday, there will always be good examples that apply to each lesson in our walk with God.
One night in 2014, I woke early in the morning. When that happens to me, I have learned that God wants to tell me something or make me lift to intercede in prayer for someone. This time, the reason was not to pray but to warn me that the enemy hatched a devastating plan against me. At first I did not understand what else the devil could do against me after destroying my finances and deteriorating my health. The answer came a few days later when I learned of the delicate state of health of my daughter.
But today’s testimony is not about me, I will discuss what has made my daughter to face her condition. After spending several months being examined by medical specialists who recommend her an extremely complicated and risky surgery, my daughter has decided to put all her anxiety and concern in the hands of God. She told me not going to surgery whose effectiveness is questionable and prefers the Lord to do with her according to His plans.
Because her father, humanly I can pass like any other, my legs would tremble. My daughter barely scratches the three decades when I share this message at the beginning of 2015 and she has a little girl three years old that needs her care. But as a man of faith, I am amazed at her trust in our God and Father.
Probably you who hear or read this message you’re going through a difficult situation and you feel anxiety and worry. Instead of despair, go to your Father who is in heaven and let your anxiety under His feet. Remember that He takes great care of you because you are His son or His daughter. Let trust who loves you with an everlasting love. God bless you.
