All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3: 16-17
There are people who believe that the Bible is just another book written by man. There are also people who practice certain religious rites in which the Bible is used; but they put on the same level as other traditional books of their religious creed. In fact, the Bible need not be defended because its truthfulness and accuracy are so clear and obvious that is established itself as the only truth about the divinity.
And although some people say that the Bible is a book very difficult to understand, it’s really not so. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, all Scripture is inspired by God, that is, not from men. Also, if the Bible is useful for teaching, its structure must be understandable enough that the simplest person to be taught.
I have a friend who boasts of reading Scripture from childhood. However, she very often comes to me with some questions which tell me that the logic does not give a reasonable explanation of certain biblical passages. I try to tell that logic does not apply to the Word of God; but she always answers me the same thing about his great IQ, which she will use to continue discovering what is hidden in those dark passages that she does not yet understand.
I think God is fair enough to have designed the Scripture so that not only understand the intellectual but any human being with a willing heart. And what I say is not my invention, since the very Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 1:27: But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. Therefore, who only uses his or her intellect to try to understand the Bible will end being in shame.
I could spend hours listing the many Bible prophecies that have been fulfilled and thus prove the certainty of Scripture. The mere existence of the nation of Israel and its permanence throughout history, confirm that the Bible is actually inspired Word of God. There are many things which were written in the Bible in such a precise centuries before they happened, which leaves us no doubt that a mastermind with knowledge of all time guided the hands that wrote it.
For us to be taught, rebuked, corrected and instructed in righteousness by Scripture, we need faith and not human intelligence. Once we bring our faith, the Holy Spirit will guide us step by step so that we can understand the mysteries of God. Do not waste time with intellectual reasoning, reading the Bible each day guided by its author and we will be prepared to carry out the work that Heavenly Father entrusts to us. God bless you.
