Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
One cannot reach its destination blissfully if unaware the address where you goes. Before leaving for somewhere, it is essential to know at least its location. A letter without the recipient’s address will never be delivered. In life, every human being should be aware and know where he or she is headed. Unfortunately, many people go through life without meaning. It is true that often set ourselves and we know what we want and yet not reached. The reason is not always walking in the right way. The only way to keep the course is to let God guide us.
Man has always tried to follow a method that leads him to his destination. Since ancient times the stars, the sun and the moon have been used as a guide. It has also been used maps, signs on the roads, compass and, in more modern times, the GPS. All these methods are not foolproof. In fact, I can testify and testimony of the numerous occasions on which a GPS has taken me far from my destination. That’s nothing strange case of an instrument of human invention, the accuracy is not complete.
Trust in God with all your heart means to trust Him fully. Psalm 118:8 says: It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Any man or woman can fail us. Even members of our family, we love, sometime could give us back and even betray us. Do you know if you hear or read this message happened to you; but I do and not only with a person but with several of them.
There is nothing dumber than lean on our own understanding. When we think we know them all, God subtly handles unloaded fumes and brings us down. So while higher we are in our supposed science, the harder the blow to fall. The following verse the two that are we studying today, i.e. Proverbs 3:7 reads: Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.
When we acknowledge God in all our ways we are telling Him something like what he wrote the psalmist in Psalm 119:168: I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, For all my ways are before You. To be under the direction of God, we must walk the rules based on His life not ours. We cannot forget that God, being our Creator, knows better than us what we must do to no harm. As our Father, He just wants our welfare.
When we trust in God and not in our knowledge, we recognize his infinite wisdom. Thus he can take charge and straighten our ways, as Isaiah 40:4 says: Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth. Let it in His hands the direction of our lives for the great things He has planned for us happen. God bless you.
