And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.
God led His chosen people day and night on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Similarly, He will guide us to all those who today form His new covenant people through the desert of earthly life, lighting our way since leaving Egypt from the darkness of sin, until we reach the promised land of the celestial dwelling. Our Savior Jesus Christ told His disciples in John 14: 2-3: In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Why be afraid of adversity, the Bible says in Psalm 23: 1-3: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. And it also says in Psalm 91:11: For He shall give His angels charge over you, for to keep you in all your ways.
God is faithful to His word and will to those who love him as he did with the Jewish people, which outlines the Bible in Deuteronomy 1:31: and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place. At no time God left alone the Israelites on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. And it was not because the Israelites behave well themselves or do nice things before God. On the contrary, the people showed their rebellion often; but God has always shown fidelity of his promises.
You yourself can be treated by God as His child if you do exactly what His Word says in John 1:12: But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Right now you can reach the privilege of being called a child of God if you decide to receive Jesus Christ and believe in His name. Even if it’s unbelievable is that simple, as it is written in 1 John 5:5: Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
It’s not that you’re good people or not worry about the rest. Everything good you can do what you can easily collapse with a simple question. The Bible is very clear when it says that no one is good. It is impossible that we pass the test of goodness when the standard is as high as the Son of God Himself. Let us listen to what God’s Word says; we receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God in our hearts. We believe in His name and confess with our mouth that He is our Lord. He will lead our way to meadows green pastures of the heavenly abode. God bless you.
