Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
The children of God are His hands and mouth on Earth. All work to expand the Kingdom of God and reaching the lost is part of our task. We must give by grace what by grace we have received. There are still millions of people around the world who have never heard the message of salvation. Do not expect God to send angels to preach the gospel, this work is for us. For this reason, if God calls you to share the good news of salvation, just say, “Here am I! Send me.”
There are very large Christian churches which consist of thousands of members today. Most members of the large and small churches fell not referred not about being sent to preach. They feel very comfortable sitting listening to the sermon of the pastor, who they think is the only one with a responsibility to share the gospel with the lost.
And while many Christians are so obese of spiritual food in many parts of the world people die of spiritual starvation. Luke 10:2 says: Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” The spiritual harvest of souls is ready, but the workers that pick it are few. The Lord invites us to pray to the Father to send laborers to gather the harvest; but some people do not even stop to pray for this cause. Rather they are seeking to pray for their own needs only.
As I said, in the world every day many people die without hearing about Jesus Christ ever. Romans 10:14-15 says: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Again God speaks with reference to reach the lost. The previous verse, that is Romans 10:13 says: For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But if nobody tells them about what Jesus Christ did on the cross for every human being, these people could lose their salvation by not having the opportunity to hear the good news of the gospel and make the decision to accept Him.
When I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I realized that I was lost if I had died without making that decision. This aroused in me a great desire to share with others the good news of salvation. I know that God has saved me so that I cannot remain unmoved watching people die without Christ and going straight to spend eternity in hell.
The harvest is plentiful, missing workers who preach the gospel of peace. If you already know the Lord, what do you expect to be one of those workers? God is calling me and calling you who hear me or you who read this message. I decided to answer the call, would you do that too? God bless you.
