After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”
The Scriptures say that in eternity we continually will praise God and the new song will be an important part of our worship. It is time for the church to begin to practice what will be part of our eternal work and all of us will enjoy the powerful manifestation of the glory of God in the various congregations. Each member of the body of Christ is called to sing to the Lord a new song that comes out of our hearts every day.
Again I will share one of my experiences in my search for God’s presence. This time I will share a vision that I experienced several years ago. I saw the very black sky, but completely covered with stars. It seemed as if I was watching from a height. I saw down from heaven a great light, as I had never seen before in my life. What at first sight was dark, filled full of that bright light and very white, which left me blind, so I had to close my eyes in the vision. I heard very loud thunder and realized that I was witnessing the appearing of the glory of God.
Amid the bright light, I first heard as the voice of many waters, like a huge waterfall. Then the light became less intense, saw down from heaven million of angels amid the noise of trumpets and of many waters. All the angels sang a new song to God Almighty. There was a lot of noise, but it was harmonious and musical. I was in the middle of heavenly worship described in the book of Revelation.
A new song is a recent and original composition that breaks out in praise and worship of God and Jesus Christ for the glory of His salvation; and that is only pronounced on the lips of the redeemed by Christ. It is a song that is renewed for this occasion, which has not been sung at other times. Everything we do for the Lord must be executed with excellence; therefore our new song cannot be something mediocre. Psalm 33:3 says: Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
Many people might say: “I have no musical talent,” “I am not a composer or writer,” “music is not my forte,” or something similar. Others may feel afraid to open their mouths to sing something different and unknown, especially if, as Psalm 33:3 says we are bound to do well. But we must understand that whoever put us inspiration for a new song is the Spirit of God himself, so there is nothing to fear, just let open our mouths to let out the perfect melody and lyrics that the Holy Spirit himself has given us. God bless you.
