But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
The scary part of the book of Revelation is describing vividly what happens with sinful humanity who does not repent way. In Revelation 21:8 the lake of fire and brimstone is described, which also called the second death. Also listed will be those who will forever inhabit this place of torment. They are cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars. All these kinds of people are sinners and that lake of fire and brimstone is nothing but hell.
Many people dislike that churches would discuss topics like hell. Still others refuse to believe in its existence. What everyone like is that you speak of heaven and good things. The American pastor John MacArthur said: “Jesus spoke more of hell than heaven. He spoke about an unquenchable fire, a place where the worm does not die, where people gnash their teeth, wail and weep where there is darkness. That is the meaning of perdition.”
John MacArthur says what can be easily verified just by reading the words of Jesus in the Gospels. You can see such things, for example in Mark 9:44-48, Matthew 8:12, Matthew 13:42, Matthew 22:13, Matthew 24:51 and Luke 13:28, among others. Therefore, damage is not done to anyone if you teach about the dangers of going to hell forever, but quite the opposite. Hide biblical truths such people is harming them.
British preacher William Booth (1829-1912), founder of the Salvation Army said: “Taking a man in the neighborhood, healing his body, giving him decent clothes, providing a home in the countryside, and let him die and go to hell, really not worth it.” Although people demand of messages snuggle their souls or require them to come to their aid to solve their material problems, it really worth it guiding them to seek their salvation and prevent pass a eternity in hell.
Now, no one will realize that in this life we step and that there is the option of going for eternity to a place of torment if it is not predicated on such terms and are taught biblical truths as they are. Englishman John Charles Ryle (1816-1900) said: “People never will be directed decisively towards heaven, or live as pilgrims, while not feel they really are in danger of going to hell”. This danger is very real and must be well aware of it.
The main reason of my messages is precisely to warn people of this great danger. Other fellow servants have felt the same anxiety. For example the German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke (1940- ) said: “We must warn people of the danger of hell as if they were our own children walking along the edge of a volcano.” Also the Scottish preacher William Still (1911-1997) said: “If you really believe in the reality of hell should not we proclaim from the housetops even against all the rules and make people fear even live an instant without flee to God for mercy?”
The destination of the sinner is hell, and all it is only the mercy of God through grace keeps us from the second death. Repent and become to Him. God bless you.
