To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
Sin obscures the mind of the people making them see the bad things as normal and good as if they were an aberration. Thus, a corrupt mind sees as a human right to break the law of God and at the same time, sees the same Law as an affront to human dignity. Therefore, such people require such things as freedom of loving someone of their own sex and their right to require God to change His Word to suit their tastes and preferences. Only a mind and conscience that are corrupted make possible the manifestation of such ideas.
On Saturday March 14, 2015, the Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin expressed the following on same-sex marriage in an interview that made him the “Punto Final” program on Colombian television. As expressed by the famous singer: “The Bible does not have any power or authority to stop any decisions about any state law on homosexual unions.” He continued: “It is not valid religious arguments based on the Bible to prevent two people of the same sex marriage formalized through an intimate relationship.”
Meanwhile, Puerto Rican astrologer Walter Mercado says that God asked him to write the second part of the Bible. In the words of Mercado: “It’s the first time I talked with him, He asked me to be an intermediary like the old prophets, to dictate the second part of the Bible. I feel much honored, with great power comes great responsibility.” He continued: “He wants to tap the sales success of the original Bible, you are sure that a sequel will be another bestseller. He needs my help because He does not cope with the job.”
The Mexican diocese of Saltillo, chaired by Bishop Raul Vera Lopez, supports an organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT), although it promotes principles contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church on sexuality itself. The diocese held in Saltillo, from 25 to 27 March 2011 the 4th Forum Sexual, Family and Religious Diversity, organized by the San Elredo community, an LGBT group that aims “to eradicate what some sectors of the Church think about homosexuality, and especially that homosexual acts are contrary to God.”
These three examples I have presented here show, as says Titus 1:15-16: They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. With regard to what Ricky Martin says, he has no power or authority to say what it should contain or not in the Bible. His arguments are not valid before God and he is not one to tell God what is sin or not.
With respect to Walter Mercado, I think his corrupted mind and conscience lead him to talking nonsense. The Bible has been written and God’s no an author ambitious for fame. Besides, who said that God is overworked? The Bishop of Saltillo, Mexico, is an example of how the fashions of today are permeating the churches, to the point of contradicting their own foundations. We must act boldly and present biblical truths as forcefully as the lie is released today. God bless you.
