The True God and Eternal Life

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

1 John 5:20

Much of humanity speaks of God, but the question is whether all speak the true God. Is the God of Israel the same god of the Arabs? Do Buddhists and Hindus worship the same God as Christians? Do they worship the true God all religious groups that mention the name of Christ? 1 John 5:20 gives the explanation that can answer all these questions: we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

No doubt that 1 John 5:20 is a biblical statement about the divinity of Jesus Christ. Many people have no clear idea about Jesus. They imagine that He was a virtuous man, a teacher; but, after all, a man more. Certainly Jesus was a man; but He is not only that. Part of His nature is not human but divine and the Bible has much evidence about it. Isaiah 9:6 prophesies like this: For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah’s prophecy about the birth of the Messiah, Jesus establishes as one of His names Mighty God, so that there is no doubt of His divinity. The beginning of the Gospel of John it says much more clearly. John 1:1-3: says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. The Word, Jesus Christ, according to this gospel, was with God, was God and created all things.

There are other biblical passages that show the divinity of Jesus Christ and His eternal existence. Therefore, we are not talking about a simple virtuous man who has had a great influence on human history. We are talking about the Creator himself of humankind, the universe and everything that exists. And as to His divinity, we are not talking about a little God, but of whom Isaiah called Mighty God. We are not talking about a Jehovah junior, but who John says, and the Word was God.

Only fully understanding that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, we can understand that only He can carry out the mission for which he came to this earth. No mere human being, man or woman, is able to qualify for exempt from the guilt of sin to each person who, by faith, accept the grace, unmerited favor. Only the offended by sin, that is, God Himself, has the power to grant clemency and forgiveness, no one else can do it.

I urge you to meditate on the person of Jesus Christ taking into account His real nature. Speak lightly of Him is not only disrespecting God Himself, but despise who, love, willingly He offered His life to give you salvation. Never forget that Jesus is the true God and eternal life and that there is no salvation outside of Him. Repenting of your sins and becoming Him, you become a child of God, write your name in the Book of Life and will assure eternal life. God bless you.

Eternal Life Is to Know God

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

John 17:3

When the Bible speaks of knowing it refers not only to know someone but have an intimate relationship with that someone. In John 17:3, the Lord says that eternal life is to know God and Jesus Christ. Therefore, eternal life is to have an intimate relationship with God, which can only be achieved through the person of His Son Jesus Christ. Without an intimacy with God it is impossible to know Him. The longing of the Father is that every human being can relate to Him. In this relationship, we become His children and He becomes our Father.

Since the Old Testament God had expressed His desire to be known by humanity. Jeremiah 9:23-24 says: Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. Knowing and understanding God is much more important than wisdom or riches.

Jesus is the one who makes known to God. John 1:18 says: No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son,[a] who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Only through Jesus, through the eyes of faith, we can see the Father. In John 14:7 we read: If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. Knowing Jesus Christ, we can see and know God, because as Colossians 1:15 says: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

In all periods of human history there have been religious people, including our own time, which is apparently apathetic to spiritual things. However, the way in which the different religions try to attain divinity is flawed. Every religion invents its own rites and formulas to reach God. What any religious person is thinking is whether his or her traditions make him or her closer to God. The Bible says repeatedly that no one seeks God; therefore, religions never reach their goal.

Instead of religion, God has sought, since the creation of man, have a relationship with mankind. Unfortunately we have ourselves been guilty of breaking all ties with our Creator. Sinful humanity cannot relate to a holy God. There is not any religion that provides an appropriate mechanism to restore the lost relationship with God. The solution comes from the initiative of God Himself, who sent His Son Jesus Christ in order to make Him known and break down the barriers that separated us from Him.

John 3:17 tells us why God had to send His Son: For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Jesus came to save the world, for us to know the Father, which He is His visible image. When we know God through His Son, we reach the true eternal life. Receive therefore welcome that came to rescue us from death and sin, Jesus Christ, our only guarantee of eternal life, our only way to the Father, because besides Him, nothing. The step is very simple: repent and turn to Him. Do it now! God bless you.

¡Hazlo ahora mismo! Dios te bendiga.

Human Science is Misleading

For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, ‘No one sees me’; your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; and you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’

Isaiah 47:10

Many people boast to say that we live in the best time of humanity on Earth thanks to huge advances in science. For these people, the quality of our life is far superior to what was to our ancestors. It is said that medicine has managed to keep us healthy and has extended our life expectancy; that the buildings we build today are better and thanks to advances in modern agriculture we have more and better foods. In Isaiah 47:10, the Bible warns us that human science is misleading.

Perhaps people can accept as valid the arguments scientific breakthrough today and its superiority over the society of ancient generations. After all, many scientists endorse such claims, which appear to give more credibility. I will not compete with my scientific colleagues about it; but I, as a scientist endorse what Isaiah 47:10 says that our science is misleading and is in the highest degree.

The advances of modern medicine are not as good as it looks. In fact, the modern pharmaceutical industry is unable to produce a single pill that will cure any disease. All they do current drugs are to reduce symptoms without attacking the root of the disease and, thus, keep us alive; but sick. What modern science itself hidden is that between 75-80% of the world population still used therapeutic herbs and their results are not inferior to those of conventional medicine.

Modern science also hides the chemical components present in the herbs are part of the physiological functions of the living flora and therefore have better compatibility with the human body. Also it hides what the statistics say, that the possibility of death from herbs is 1 in 1 million, while the possibility of death due to prescription drugs properly is 1 in 333, medical malpractice is 1 in 250 and 1 in 80 hospital infection.

As for the advantages of modern building materials, science also deceives. For one example, the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York collapsed in a matter of minutes after the impact of two planes on September 11, 2001. Meanwhile, the pyramids of Egypt, the city of Petra in Jordan and Macchu Pichu in Peru have been standing for centuries and construction techniques are still wowing civil engineers today.

I could go on the delusions that have sold us about modern science; but I think just what I have said so far. Isaiah 47:10 is a scripture successful with regard to awaken human consciousness that our wisdom will never be compared with God. If you want access to real science, to genuine wisdom, instead of searching the Internet or reading the most famous books of science, read the Bible. Do not believe wise in your own opinion or rely on the opinion of human wise. God who created all that exists, as the divine designer knows much more than all the wise men of the world together. Follows literally His instructions and live forever. God bless you.

The Mission of the Servant of Jesus Christ

To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.

Acts 26:18

Life on Earth is not easy. Problems are inevitable and they are pleasant to nobody. However, none of our problems is greater than living in darkness and under the power of Satan. The mission of the servant of Jesus Christ is not to bring people to a state of prosperity and happiness, but to open their eyes to turn them from darkness to light. Who preach the opposite of what it says Acts 26:18 is not fulfilling his or her task as servant of the Lord. But worst of all is that is allowing souls to be lost.

Many preachers have understood very clearly what their mission is. One is the German Reinhard Bonnke who said: “But the main work of the evangelist is to win souls for Christ, not to preach to Christians asleep, and revive dead churches.” I have seen many Christians living heating banks in churches, which do not grow because nobody goes to the streets to catch the lost and bring them to Christ. Members of these churches only seek to fatten spiritually as they refuse the bread of the Word to those who have not known the Lord.

The British preacher Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981) said: “For me, the work of preaching is the greatest and the most glorious calling to which anyone can ever be called.” I fully agree with what he says Lloyd-Jones. I have worked in various facets in my life. Among them are: directing music groups, an engineer and scientist, serving as professor and university researcher and serving the Lord. And although being a musician or scientist could seem more prestigious occupations, I feel that preach the Word of God to people is my greatest privilege.

Evangelizing is the highest priority task in a Christian church. English evangelist David Watson (1933-1984) said, “Do something else in the church and do not do evangelism is as rearrange the furniture when the house is on fire.” Watson’s comparison makes sense. Hell in flames waiting for those who fail to repent of their sins and die without receiving the forgiveness and grace of God. If those people did not have the opportunity to hear the plan of salvation through neglect of the church, we are guilty for their downfall.

Norman R. Lewis said a great truth: “Getting God’s forgiveness is the most urgent need of every person on Earth.” Although many people think otherwise, the solution to the serious personal problems of each is not our greatest urgency. Nothing helps us get to solve our economic, relational or health problems if not pay attention to restore our relationship with God, which was broken because of sin.

No one can earn heaven on merit, we have all sinned and for that we are excluded from the presence of a holy God. The wages of sin is death and that is our destiny unless someone paid for us the debt. And Jesus Christ did on the cross; but for the grace may touch you, you must repent of your sins and become Him. There is no other possible way to achieve redemption. Let you receive, by faith, your inheritance. God bless you.
