What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
There is no point in saying that one is a Christian and living in fear. If we have accepted and received Jesus Christ, then we have the power to be called children of God. And if God is our Father, who will we fear? Do not we know who God is? Will there be anyone in the whole universe with more power than He? God, our Father, is with us and He is omnipotent and Almighty. Therefore, there is nothing and no one can do us any harm.
Let’s see what Romans 8:31 says: If God is for us. Let us divide this phrase into two parts and speak first of God. Do you know who God is? Let’s look at what it says in the first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The Earth is the planet where we live, which is located at the perfect distance from the sun to facilitate the existence of life in it. Really only the master mind of God could create our planet, with the perfect dimension to have a force of gravity that would allow us to walk comfortably.
Now let’s see that God also created the heavens and in them there are millions of millions of stars forming countless galaxies. The universe is so immense that our planet would be like a subatomic particle, almost an insignificant point, but where more than 7.4 billion people live. Our mind cannot imagine the full extent of the universe and, all of that, God created it. If the dimensions of the universe are immeasurable, imagine those of its Creator.
Now that we know the immensity, the greatness of God, think for a moment that the great and mighty God is on your side and mine. Everything, absolutely everything that exists, whether on the physical plane or in the spiritual plane, there is nothing or nobody that has not gone through the divine design. Whether they are planets, stars or invisible beings, God has created them with the power of His Word. So He will also use His Word of power to support us in our daily struggles.
We see then that the Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth is with us, then who against us? No one can against Him, so whoever messes with us, the children of God, is messing with our Heavenly Father. Rest assured that God will not allow anyone to harm His children. Mark 9:42 says, But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. So be sure that your Father will defend you with everything and against all.
Having the full confidence of being children of God Most High, we can confidently walk our way through this world. Apart from His support, let us remember the words of 2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Our Heavenly Father has given us of His own Spirit, who dwells in us. That Spirit of God imparts to us His power, His love and gives us self-control to stand before the adversities of life.
I want to invite you from today on you dare to walk through life without fear, without worry. God is with you, you are His son or His daughter and He is Almighty, no one can against Him. Walk with the assurance that you have the backing of maximum power. God bless you.
