Soul’s Protector

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Ephesians 6:16

One of the biggest concerns of humans today is what could happen to your skin when exposed to sunlight. The deterioration of the ozone layer has resulted in the ultraviolet radiation from the sun is a latent danger to life on Earth. That has increased sales of products to protect our skin from harmful ultraviolet rays. The soul also needs protection and that protection is nothing but the breastplate of faith. With faith you will be protected from the elements of life, you will look over the circumstances and spend victorious in the midst of trials. Through you, God will move mountains and reach others for His glory.

It is called sunscreens to all products (creams, lotions, milks, etc.), which are applied on skin in order to protect it from the harmful effects of solar ultraviolet radiation A (UVA) and/or ultraviolet B (UVB ). This is possible because in its composition they carry substances called filters, able to slow the action of one and/or other radiation. Many skin changes, such as skin cancer or age spots are caused by sun exposure.

Faith is a shield that protects us from the harmful effects of spiritual ultraviolet rays that enemy throws at us. Only faith is able to curb all their tricks that can cause us cancer of doubt in our soul. In the world we are exposed to the influence of the prince of this world; but faith gives us complete protection against his harmful presence.

Faith gives us many benefits, including our healing: And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34). Faith makes that nothing is impossible: So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).

Faith purifies our heart: and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith (Acts 15:9). We are justified by faith: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law (Romans 3:28). And when we are righteous by faith, we live by faith: For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

We walk by faith: For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). And faith enables us to please God: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). We never go out into the street without wearing our shield of faith, which preserves our soul and saves us from all evil. God bless you.

Soul’s Nutrition

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4

The aging of the “Baby boomers” has spawned a huge growth industry of nutritional supplements. It is obvious that our skin suffers as a result of inadequate and poor nutrition. Just as your body cannot live without food, your soul needs nourishment of the Word of God. Jesus himself, when he was tempted by the devil in the desert, he recalled that: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4: 4). When you feed with the Word of God, weakness and confusion disappear.

The World Health Organization defines nutrition as food intake in relation to the dietary needs of the organism. Good nutrition (adequate and balanced diet combined with regular exercise) is a fundamental element of good health. Poor nutrition can reduce immunity, increased susceptibility to disease, alter the physical and mental development and reduce productivity.

Nutrition refers to the nutrients that make food and includes a set of involuntary phenomena that occur after ingestion of food, i.e. digestion, absorption or passage of blood from the digestive tract of its components or nutrients, and their assimilation into the body’s cells. There are six classes of nutrients the body needs: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. It is important to consume these six nutrients to build and maintain a healthy body function daily.

And as natural nutrition, the spiritual is a basic need that we must meet every day. If our body demands the daily consumption of six types of nutrients, our soul needs nourishment every day with the Word of God. That nutrition includes reading and meditation of Scripture. But for better use of it, we must nurture accompanied by the spiritual nutritionist: the Holy Spirit. He will guide us into all truth.

The Word of God is a seed planted in our lives to give permanent results. God expects us not only listen to His Word, but also doers of it. Word is the power of God, since all creation occurred through the Word that God spoke.

The Word is a sword that allows us to defend ourselves from the attacks of the enemy and to penetrate the depths of our being, as Hebrews 4:12 says: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Let give daily nutrition to our soul through God’s Word. Not a day goes by without we eat it. If every day you feed three times, why do not you take time to read the Bible? I promise you’ll find fresh revelation. God bless you.

Soul’s Toner

And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long.

Psalm 35:28

If you cleaned up your face and you applied a moisturizer, the next step is toning. Similarly it happens with your soul clean and moisturized for forgiveness and prayer, which needs to be toned with praise. When you praise God and turn to Him your thoughts, when you forget yourself, without selfishness in your heart, you are freed so that God gives you His joy.

Skin toners relate to a product for care that guarantees that it will be completely clean. Toner restores the pH balance of the skin. Using a toner should be part of daily cleansing routine, according to the experts. The toner removes any oil or makeup. For best results, a toner without alcohol should be chosen.

A skin toner can be a liquid or lotion and sometimes also called the tonic, astringent, refreshing lotion or clearer. The skin toner is used to reduce the size of the pores and to remove excess fat. Although sometimes the skin toners are believed to dry skin modern formulas come in different forms that do more than just reducing pore size. Toners cool, give tone, cleanse and moisturize the skin for a healthy glow.

In the same way that toners act on our skin, praise ensures that our soul will be cleansed of selfishness because we concentrate only on the God we worship. Praise also removes the fear and anxiety and brings us peace and joy of the Lord. When praising, praise must choose without the spirit of humanism to focus on the figure of our loving Heavenly Father.

Our praise, as the soul toner may be a known liquid lotion song or a new song that comes out of our hearts. The toner of the soul shrinks the pores of our fears because we take refuge in the powerful arms of the Lord. And though some people think that praise dries our soul because we forget ourselves, the truth is that it helps us to stop thinking about our problems to focus on the God who solves all.

David was, without doubt, the greatest king of Israel. But David’s life was not always peaceful and without problems, on the contrary, most of the time he was forced to fight many enemies. Neither he was perfect and came to commit serious sins. However, David is remembered as a man after God’s own heart because he could confess his faults and repent, but above all, he was a man who gave praises to God all the time.

Like David, let tone your soul with your praise that He is worthy to receive glory and honor. I assure you that if you want to live a full life, turn it into one of praise instead of getting up every day between complaints and lamentations. Praise God in joy, in sorrow, in victory and in the trail. He will always respond. God bless you.

Soul’s Moisturizer

He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, he shall see His face with joy, for He restores to man His righteousness.

Job 33:26

When cleaning our face, we are not only removing makeup residue or acquired environmental dirt, but also dragged the natural moisture of the face and let it dry as a desert. So we need to apply a second product, a moisturizer. Similarly, our soul cleared for forgiveness needs to be hydrated with prayer. If you do not hydrate the skin of your face, it will wither. So, if you do not pray, your soul is dry; but as you trust in God, the eagerness and anxiety disappear because you learn to relax and wait on the Lord.

The natural moisture of the skin is due to the combination of amino acids that are components of proteins, degraded by urea produced by the liver in conjunction with the electrolyte from your body. The effect of this process is the sufficient production of lipids that nourish the cells and generate healthy skin and lush appearance. The skin loses moisture, texture and sensitivity due to weather conditions; and even during sweating due to environmental pollution.

To keep skin hydrated facial moisturizers are part of the daily cleaning routine that dermatologists recommend. They are substances that contain the necessary quantity of emollients and moisturizing oils which create a thin layer to protect and to fill with lipid the spaces between cells. Moisturizers prevent water loss, cover cracks, protect and calm the skin, provide nutrients the body is not producing and replenish water loss and ingredients that retain as glycerin.

As the skin, soul loses moisture of trust and patience texture as a result of daily trails. To keep hydrated soul, prayer is that moisturizer that creates a thin layer of divine presence and filled with oil of the Holy Spirit voids that cause the frustrations of a life submitted to the uncertainty of waiting. Prayer replenishes the loss of hope and renewed confidence in the promises of our loving Heavenly Father.

Prayer is our direct communication with our Creator, who always has His ear ready to listen. When phoned a family member or friend, sometimes we do not receive answers and we leave messages in the voicemail. Other times, we write emails whose answers take weeks to reach us. Also our text messages seem to reach out to our contact, even though we see online.

However, none of this happens with God as soon bend our knees to pray, He dedicated us all His attention and responses we will arrive in a timely manner. The “phone” of God never sounds busy, our prayers do not reach His “spam” mailbox or He is no longer online. Its availability is 24 hours, 7 days a week. Pray and our message will reach Him. God bless you.

Soul’s Cleaner

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Mark 11:25

As the first product that we apply in our face is cleaner, our soul needs, above all, be cleaned. The soul’s cleaner is forgiveness and we should use it all the time, applying it every time we see an impurity caused by an offense received. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he warned as says Mark 11:25. Never get to bed without having apologized to those offended and without having forgiven those who offended you. If thou doest well, the result is a pleasant and peaceful sleep without nightmares or insomnia.

Facial skin is the one most exposed to dust and environmental pollutants, the fill factors of impurities, irritating and make it susceptible to premature aging if you do not have proper sanitation. Therefore, facial cleansing should be essential to your beauty routine. For successful facial cleansing just moisten your face with lukewarm water, then apply a suitable cosmetic product for your skin type and rinse.

Why need to clean the skin? First it is important to remove secretions from sweat and sebum produced by the body throughout the day, as well as dirt from outside and, in the case of women, the remains of cosmetics that have been used during the day. Cosmetic cleaning preparations we use must respect the pH of the skin and not be irritating or cause allergic reactions.

Just like facial skin, the human soul is exposed to dust of offenses and pollution of gossip. So our soul is filled with impurities that irritate us and make us susceptible to prematurely become grumpy old men. Cleaning up our soul with forgiveness should be part of our daily routine. As we clean our face before bedtime, we cleanse our souls by forgiving the offenses that were made during the day.

Why should we clean our soul with forgiveness? Because we must remove secretions from bitterness and resentment that were caused during the day in our being as a result of the offenses received. Similarly we must apply to ourselves cleaning forgiveness for our mistakes and continue to get rid of guilt. We grant forgiveness should respect the balance of our relationship with our offender and should not be reluctant to avoid irritating neighbor.

Many people live a miserable life only because they refused to forgive offenses received in an increasingly distant past. If you’re one of those people I want to give you two pieces of news. The first is that your offender has probably forgotten what he did to you and possibly the only offense remaining alive is in you. The second news is that forgiving will be better for you rather than anyone, as your lack of forgiveness will do more damage to you than it does to your offender. God bless you.
