God’s Word does not Return Void

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11

The Word of God always fulfills its purpose at the perfect time. In this age in which we live very quickly, sometimes we despair to see that God’s promises are not being met at the speed we want. But the seed of the Word of God that has been sown will germinate without a doubt. Isaiah 55:10-11 affirms it, and if God says is the truth because He does not lie. God’s timing is perfect, neither forward nor delayed. Therefore, the fulfillment of His Word will come at the right time.

I myself am a living example of the truth of Isaiah 55:10-11. Since my teens, there was always someone sowing the Word of God in my life and, although see the fruit took 30 years to sprout, finally the Word did not return void, but it did what He wanted to do with me and was fully prosper in the which He sent it. These daily messages I share with people around the world are the best proof of compliance with that word.

Many people sowed the seed of the Word of God in me for 30 years in three different countries. It is impossible to name all those people, so I will only discuss a couple of them. One such person was Melissa, a Mexico-American who was my hairdresser while living in San Antonio, Texas. She always told me, “Jesus loves you” as she cut my hair. When I met the Lord in Florida, on my return to Texas, the first thing I did was going to cut my hair where Melissa and I gave her my testimony. She was filled with joy and praised God.

In late April 2009, my mother went with the Lord. Because of that I went to my hometown in the Dominican Republic and there I met several childhood friends. Among them was Victor, who had given his life to Jesus Christ since he was a teenager like many other boys and girls in my neighborhood, including, of course I was not. Victor asked me if I had seen my cousin Glenys, another youth who had surrendered to the Lord three decades ago, I said no. And he told me she wanted to talk to me.

I continued walking around the city without paying much attention to what Victor had said. My two daughters went with me and they told me to take them to fix their hair. So I did and while waiting, Victor passed by that place and asked me the same question. As I said again that I had not seen my cousin, he said: “Come, she lives five houses from here and we can walk there.” So we did.

My cousin was very happy to see me after almost 20 years and told me she had heard that I became a Christian. I told her my story with much enthusiasm as she listened smiling. At the end of my testimony, she told me: “Since I became to Jesus Christ, you were the first person that the Lord brought to my mind. 30 years I’ve been praying for your salvation.” I was speechless before her to see God’s faithfulness.

If you’ve spent years praying for the salvation of your loved ones without seeing results, do not give up. There is a promise from the Lord that by believing in Him you and your family will be saved. God’s Word never returns void and bear fruit at the right time, not before or after. I have seen in my own life and I’m sure you also see in yours. God bless you.

The Good Ground

But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 13:23

In the post modern era is very popular preaching of planting and harvesting. It asserts that one is planting and then getting the crop. However, what it is often overlooked in such preaching that no seed will harvest without good ground where it can plant the seed. Not all areas of our planet are suitable to plant and grow crops. There also spiritually barren land and produce nothing and good ground which bear much fruit.

Several years ago I went to Puerto Rico to resolve some personal issues. As usual whenever I go to the island of enchantment, I called Miguel, my best friend, who received me in his apartment located cross street the airport in San Juan. I arrived on a Friday and Saturday Miguel, who is Adventist, asked me if I wanted to accompany him to his church. I told him I had no objection to go with it. We left early his apartment for going to the church.

What struck me that Saturday service in the church of my friend Miguel was the preacher delivered a sermon on the parable of the sower. At the end of his sermon he said: “The problem is not the seed because the seed is always good because it is the Word of God. The problem is the type of soil in which the seed falls. What kind of soil are you?” Hearing those words, the Spirit bore witness that I myself throughout my life had been on the ground by the wayside, stony grounds, lawn strewn with thorns and good soil.

On Sunday, my pastor, who agreed with me in Puerto Rico called me and asked me if I had any plans for the Monday morning. I said no and he said he would pick me up at 10 o’clock. So he did and took me to a house where several Catholic ladies were gathered. My pastor shared the word of God with them and spoke on the parable of the sower. When finished, the pastor told them the following: “The problem is not the seed because the seed is always good because it is the Word of God. The problem is the type of soil in which the seed falls. What kind of soil are you?”

Upon hearing my pastor repeat exactly the same words I heard on Saturday in the church of my friend Miguel, I was shocked. My pastor was totally unaware where I had been on Saturday and he did not know what I heard because I did not comment on it, so he made no such comment by being aware of what I had heard two days earlier. But the Spirit of God knew and had moved in two totally different religious backgrounds to give me a clear and accurate message.

Today I share this story with you that hear or read my message. It is likely that you, like I was, throughout your life, you’ve heard the word; but the enemy has taken what was sown in your heart. It is also likely that occasionally you have heard the word and immediately receive it with joy; but when the trails come you’ve encountered. Other times you may have heard the word; but the worries of this world and the deceitfulness of riches have choked the Word making it unfruitful. What kind of land have been you?

Today is the day you’re that good ground, you receive the Word in your heart, you understand and produce fruit a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. God bless you.

What God Wants to Show Us

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Jeremiah 33:3

God wants to show wonderful things to all His children. Only a few can see those things because we don’t approach trustingly to Him. Many of us behave as Israel people in the desert. When god wished to talk to His people, they got scared and preferred He talked to Moses and they would hear indirectly the Word of God.

I’ll give out my experience with God during three consecutive days in February 2008. The first day, the Lord led me to Jeremiah 33:3: Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. The second day, I felt a voice within me telling me: “Approach closer.” The third day, I listened again a voice within me saying: “Draw today a line between your past and your future.”

I had a vision after listen those words at the third day. The Lord opened to me the doors of a spectacular palace and He invited me to enter. We walked inside and I saw a lot of smiling people formally dressed. The palace was full of gold ornaments. We continued walking into the palace to a large room full of people. There was an impressive throne at the room end. The Lord walked to the throne and sat down. Everyone at the room including me kneeled to the ground and worshiped Him while singing a praise song.

The Lord called me closer to His Throne. I did timidly because I felt overtaken. The Lord told me: “I told you yesterday: ‘Approach closer’, you gave the first step today.  When I tell you ‘Approach closer’ I want that you seek more of Me. Never stop doing. You complain of your lack of love, but you’ll find the greatest love in Me. You ask Me for wisdom, I’ll teach you what you don’t know it existed. I’ll show you everything you want to know and more because you’ll be my witness.

I fell to the ground crying like a child after this experience. I understood what I was losing for not being closer enough of God. I realized that my Lord may supply all my needs. I also understood that He is the only one who may fill out my void spaces. The words of the Lord also show me that my purpose is to serve Him, testifying about Him and being His tool. I kept this message only for me during several years, but today God is asking me to share it.

I know that you who listening this message or who are reading it could be identified with it. If you have been asking God to supply your material and emotional needs. If you complain because you don’t have a couple. If you live wayless. If your purpose is unknown. Do not seek God only to fill your emotional tank, or your pantry, or your bank account. Seek Him with your heart, call Him, and approach to Him, who will show you great and mighty things which you don’t know. God bless you.

Soul’s Nutrition

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4

The aging of the “Baby boomers” has spawned a huge growth industry of nutritional supplements. It is obvious that our skin suffers as a result of inadequate and poor nutrition. Just as your body cannot live without food, your soul needs nourishment of the Word of God. Jesus himself, when he was tempted by the devil in the desert, he recalled that: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4: 4). When you feed with the Word of God, weakness and confusion disappear.

The World Health Organization defines nutrition as food intake in relation to the dietary needs of the organism. Good nutrition (adequate and balanced diet combined with regular exercise) is a fundamental element of good health. Poor nutrition can reduce immunity, increased susceptibility to disease, alter the physical and mental development and reduce productivity.

Nutrition refers to the nutrients that make food and includes a set of involuntary phenomena that occur after ingestion of food, i.e. digestion, absorption or passage of blood from the digestive tract of its components or nutrients, and their assimilation into the body’s cells. There are six classes of nutrients the body needs: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. It is important to consume these six nutrients to build and maintain a healthy body function daily.

And as natural nutrition, the spiritual is a basic need that we must meet every day. If our body demands the daily consumption of six types of nutrients, our soul needs nourishment every day with the Word of God. That nutrition includes reading and meditation of Scripture. But for better use of it, we must nurture accompanied by the spiritual nutritionist: the Holy Spirit. He will guide us into all truth.

The Word of God is a seed planted in our lives to give permanent results. God expects us not only listen to His Word, but also doers of it. Word is the power of God, since all creation occurred through the Word that God spoke.

The Word is a sword that allows us to defend ourselves from the attacks of the enemy and to penetrate the depths of our being, as Hebrews 4:12 says: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Let give daily nutrition to our soul through God’s Word. Not a day goes by without we eat it. If every day you feed three times, why do not you take time to read the Bible? I promise you’ll find fresh revelation. God bless you.

God Speaks Through His Son

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.

Hebrews 1:1-2

The Bible is a collection of words that God has given to mankind. In the Old Testament, God spoke audibly voice to men and women like Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Moses. However, God spoke mostly to Israel or the Gentiles through His prophets. Thus we see the prophets who spoke to the kingdoms of Judah and Israel, as Elijah, Isaiah and Jeremiah; Jonah who brought the message of God to the Assyrians in Nineveh; or Daniel to the Babylonians and Persians.

In the New Testament, a prophet, John the Baptist, he announced the imminent arrival of the Messiah. Luke 3:16 says: John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. After John the Baptist, God sent His powerful message to humanity through His Son Jesus Christ. That message from God is mostly collected in the four gospels.

One of the most notorious speeches of Jesus is the Sermon on the Mount which is in Chapter 5 of Matthew. Most people are familiar with the Beatitudes that are part of this sermon, but that was not all He said there the Son of God. Let’s turn to Matthew 5:17-19: Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

This part of the teachings of Jesus Christ is rarely preached in churches. It is much easier to bring people a message that things will go well if they do meet Christians than teaching that God has ordained. Compliance with the law is carried out in the same Jesus, who became sin without sin to pay for ours. No human being is able to comply with the Law of God, only Christ can do. Therefore He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

God also spoke through His Son in John 3:16-17: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Here is the key to the salvation of every human being on Earth.

The words that God has spoken to the world in these last days through His Son can be summarized that the human being is unable to save himself. Therefore, only a perfect being as Jesus Christ is able to promote our salvation. It is necessary to believe in Him for eternal life. God bless you.

The Word of God is Clean

Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Proverbs 30: 5

It is very nice to see a source of clean, clear water. And best of all is to enjoy the taste of this natural and uncontaminated water. Unfortunately in our time every day there are fewer sources of clean water because the development and modernity have been responsible for introducing foreign substances into water bodies. God’s Word remains the only source of living water pure and clean. This source of life is available all the time to quench our thirst for justice, love and forgiveness.

I remember as a child and studied at school that my colleagues and I used to go to a river that was about seven miles southeast of our city. Although it was a public river beach near the road, my friends and I went down a road not paved until a farm of the parents of one of them. The scenery was spectacular because the river ran between two mountains and formed a waterfall which we called the jet.

Once enjoying a picnic on the river, a quite heavy downpour fell and all of us went out of the water and take refuge in a nearby cabin. The water became very dirty because of the hillsides down muddy torrents that fell into the river. We are very sad because we had been spoiled the ride. One employee of the farm told us: “Wait until it passes the downpour and you’ll see.” It stopped raining and ten minutes later, the river water was completely clear.

Some 15 years after that, two of those friends, who were brothers, and I had the idea of installing a plant for bottling water. I had graduated in chemical engineering and one of the brothers was business manager. We met and decided to take samples of water from various sources around the city and sent to a lab for analysis. When I picked up the results, the lab director told me that one of the waters had called him much attention for its purity and high quality; it was just the water from the jet river.

The Word of God is of high quality and high purity. It is as pure as there is no fresh water on the Earth or under it. Psalm 119:9 says: How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. The Word of God is able to clear our way. Let us search the Scriptures and find its address for our lives. Follow to the letter the wise instructions that Heavenly Father has left written in the Bible.

Psalm 119:140 says: Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. And the Word of God that is sweet, clean and extremely pure serves as a lamp that illuminates our path, sustains us and gives us understanding. Because as Psalm 119:160 says: The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Every day let us to take time to enjoy the Word of God. We turn off our spiritual thirst by drinking from the clean, sweet and pure source God bless you.

What It Contaminates Us

And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Mark 7:20-23

The twentieth century marked a great acceleration in the development of the Earth. Many inventions that revolutionized human life were created between 1901 and 2000. We moved from using animal power to transport us in cars and bullet trains. Oil became the most desired commodity. But progress resulted in environmental problems because water, soil and air were polluted. But the Word of God tells us that there are worse things that contaminate us.

Certainly the world has become a major environmental awareness in recent years. And many people are aware that our planet is dying because we have abused polluting it. The media summarized the major environmental disasters in recent history. Here are some of them. Peaceful nuclear energy has caused significant accidents, including Chernobyl in Ukraine (1986) and Fukushima in Japan (2011).

The Deepwater Horizon oil platform of British Petroleum (BP) exploded on April 22, 2010 about 47 miles off the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. This is considered the largest accidental marine oil spill in the history of the industry. Eleven people were killed and an estimated amount of 4.9 million barrels spilled. On March 24, 1989 the tanker Exxon Valdez ran aground in Bligh Reef (Alaska) and spilled over 40 million gallons of oil in an area of high ecological value. It is considered one of the worst oil spills in history.

On December 3, 1984 in the region of Bhopal (India) occurred a leak of methyl isocyanate from a pesticide factory. The compound, once in contact with the atmosphere, decomposed into a very toxic gas cloud that formed a lethal advancing at ground level. The estimates are around 8,000 dead on the day of the accident and about 12,000 died later as a result of the accident. Thousands of head of cattle and animals died, as well as high soil contamination by toxic substances and heavy metals.

But worst human pollution is not produced by nuclear plants, oil spills or other chemical substances. What more we pollute leaves our own being, and that pollution produces much more damage to us and all mankind. The contamination that came from the heart of Adolf Hitler was a terrible war in which millions died. And do not think we are more innocent than the German leader of the Second World War. Any of us can nest in its heart source of sins that would affect many people. Review our heart and prove how contaminated is. God bless you.
